Carjackers Gunned Down BF Homes Resident

By: Celso Reyes

Yesterday, Sunday, February 12, 2006, at about 6:30 P.M., Richard Capili, a student of Southville, and a resident of Executive Village, BF Homes Parañaque, was shot in the chest and pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital after refusing to turn over his car to carjackers. The police reportedly took all of 45 minutes to arrive at the crime scene near Tropical Hut Supermarket at President’s Avenue. The family is appealing for witnesses to come out to identify the criminals in our midst.

This is not the first incident in our village since we lost control of our gates and it will not be the last as long as our gates remain open to outsider traffic that includes commuters, short-cutting motorists, carjackers, carnappers and even prowlers, thieves, rapists, and all sorts of criminals.

Protect yourself. The police that Mayor Jun Bernabe of Parañaque promised cannot. Write, email him at info@paranaquecitycouncil.com and complain to the mayor about our deplorable peace and order and traffic conditions. Let us all ask for the return of our privacy and security by allowing us to control our gates.

If we don’t stand up for our rights and speak out in order to save face and avoid confrontation, we will end up exactly where we don’t want to be but where we deserve to be.
